Travel Instagrams we love

Armchair traveling can be a great way to whet your appetite for new, interesting and exotic destinations. One way to travel vicariously through others is with Instagram. We scoured through this app and found some awesome Instagrammers, whose accounts are perfect for daydreaming! We hope these instagrams inspire your future travels and maybe even motivate you to begin posting photos of your travels! Captain Kate McCue - As the first American born, female Captain of a mega cruise ship, Captain Kate sails around the seven seas aboard her ship, Celebrity Summit. Her beautiful images and videos, along with clever captions (that have earned her the nickname “Caption Kate!”) and historical facts, offer insight into exciting ports of call, and also provide a behind the scenes view of life aboard a cruise ship from a different perspective. As a side note, Captain Kate travels with a four legged, non-furry friend, her elf sphinx kitty who has an Instagram of her own (@bugnaked)!   Getting Stamped – Husband and wife team Hannah and Adam did what many of us wish we could do…left their careers on hold a couple years ago and hit the road to see the world. With over 60 countries visited, 1000 days on the road and counting, and enough stunning photos to fill at least 20 computers, GettingStamped will not only give you ideas for your future travels, you’ll also aspire to brush up on your photography skills. You can also visit their blog at for additional information and tips on taking great travel images. The Planet D – Deb and Dave, another married couple who left behind the grind of the 9-5 world and began to travel around the world, are award winning travel writers and photographers who worked in the feature film business in their native Canada. Whether they’re off looking for baby gorillas in Rwanda, relaxing in the Maldives or hiking in the Yukon Territories in Canada, every photo is beautiful and their blog posts will give you helpful information about hotels, destinations and food! Airbnb – Aside from offering you the chance to live like a local by booking accommodations through, their Instagram opens the window on unique homes around the world including a home in Venice, Italy where gondolas will dock at your veranda; a treehouse overlooking Monterey Bay in California or even a night at the famous Abbey Road studios in London, you’ll have plenty of inspiration for different types of places to stay and live like a local. Expertvagabond – Matt has been traveling the world for over 6 years and set out to experience the world, see many places and meet interesting people while striving to show his followers that the world really is an amazing place. He plans on traveling the world with an open mind and a limited budget! Follow his adventures on his blog too: . Jonathan_Irish – A contributing photographer to National Geographic, Jonathan is spending 2016 visiting all 59 U.S. National Parks in commemoration of the National Park Service’s centennial. Follow his journey at . LuggageFactory – We can’t leave ourselves off the list!
