Many of us, myself included, love to fly and love to see aircraft of all different shapes, sizes and carriers. While airports are, obviously, a great place to see this, airport hotels are even better! Why you ask? Well, most of the time, when you actually get a nice view of other airplanes, you’re also flying, so you don’t have a lot of time for spying!
Is there a solution? You bet! Try an airport hotel, preferably located on the airport property itself! This writer has been known to take short weekend trips to local on-airport grounds properties, and also, will stay at these hotels whenever possible when I am traveling. Conveniently located above the security checkpoint at Orlando International Airport is the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport. The runway view rooms here offer awesome views and make it super easy if you have an early-or late flight. It’s even possible to take your luggage down to your airline’s check in counter, drop the bags off, collect your boarding pass and go back up to your room and relax before your flight. The Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport has two excellent restaurants, a very nice pool and other amenities. You can get to any gate without having to go outside too! You can also have the bell staff assist you with your baggage from the baggage carousel to your room, and even to your rental car.
